About e-rudite.resources
To be
erudite
is to "have great knowledge or learning". (Oxford Australian School
Dictionary and Thesaurus, OUP, 2002.)

What you will find in
e-rudite
are the results of over thirty years of
successful teaching English to HSC students in NSW. This experience includes
·
HSC marking
·
HSC Advice Line
·
a significant period on the Council of The English Teachers' Association of
NSW
·
many courses and conferences
·
membership in The English Teachers' Association (NSW).
e-rudite
is also the result of a life long love of the subject of English - in all
its breadth and depth - and a desire to encourage students
·
to understand and take pleasure in what they read, see and hear,
·
to maximise their outcomes in English, and
·
to take their knowledge and skills into their post HSC lives.
e-rudite
HSC
is our way of
putting HSC support online. Students can get an experienced teacher's advice
online and students can give feedback so that what's on offer meets all
student needs.
A note about hyperlinked resources:
We have tried to provide hyperlinks to sites that are
educational and/or authoritative. Sites that are heavily tied to advertising
or pop-ups or make obvious requests for money are avoided.
We have some obvious preferences including
www.wikipedia.org and
www.abc.net.au.
